UCSC Degree theses

The collection contains all the degree theses (single-cycle degrees, master’s degrees) produced at Università Cattolica in the campuses of Milan, Piacenza-Cremona and Brescia from 1924 to the present day.

Degree theses defended between 1924 and the academic year 1990/91 are paper-based, while those discussed as from the academic year 1993/4 are filed on microfiches.

All degree theses can be searched within a dedicated on-line catalogue and their availability is subject to author's instructions, as already indicated in the page Consulting the thesis/dissertation catalogue.

Up to three theses may be consulted once only, provided author and one's own supervisor's consent has been granted.

Only senior year students and teaching staff of the Università Cattolica are allowed to consult theses/dissertations.

 

Application procedure

To research and request a thesis:

  • in the UCSC theses/dissertations catalogue:
    • search for the item of the thesis
    • check if there is an authorization for consultation issuedby the author
    • write down the main data (first and last name, number of thesis, title)

 

  • at the BiblioPoint (Gregorianum building, ground floor), ask the approrpriate form and complete it with:
    • details of the thesis required
    • signature of the supervisor of your thesis

 

The consultation of the thesis, for a maximum of two consecutive days, takes place at the Giuseppe Billanovich Reference Room (Gregorianum building, 1st floor):

  • if theses on microfiche, with immediate availability
  • if aimed at the press, with availability from Wednesday following the week in which the request is made
