What is the procedure to consult the works preserved in the Media Library?

Where can I find the multimedia works I need?

You can search the UCSC OPAC, by typing the exact title or the author, then selecting "Multimedia collection" from the menu of the search.
 

Can I apply for a loan multimedia works?

Students are allowed to view the material only within the Media Library. Professors can keep for 2 days the material required to allow viewing in the classroom.
 

How many DVDs can I see in a day?

Each user can view up to a maximum of 5 works per day.
 

The Media Library releases copies of the works for study?

Not at all: the works can not be duplicated for any reason.
 

Where can I find information on the services offered by the Media Library?

Who can access the services of the Media Library?

It can be accessed by students, teachers and researchers UCSC.

Other external users may be admitted only if they hold any permit issued by the BiblioPoint (in the Central Library hall).
 

For who is the Media Library?

Originally the multimedia collection was designed as a resource for students and teachers with a strong interest in the disciplines of communication and entertainment. However, the type of users over the years has changed: the services provided in Media Libray are becoming a more and more useful to support various faculties: Education Sciences, Psychology, Foreign Languages ​​and Literature and Political Science. The video has become such a pedagogical value for the new generations of students, becoming a learning resource.
 

What kind of material you can find in Media Library?

The collection of multimedia works (DVDs, CD-ROMs and databases online or on DVD) currently consists of approximately 9,000 titles.

The areas of specialization are seven: cinema, theater, television, video art, advertising, music and documentary. So far they have benefited from broader development areas of film, theater and television, but for the growing demands are also increasing collections of video art and historical and political documentaries.

For each discipline are captured most representative stocks: since the Media Library at the service of education, particular attention is paid to the works necessary for the UCSC teachers in the course of their lessons.
 

There are bibliographies of reference for the areas of specialization of the Media Library?
